Wirral Waters Case Study | DroneBiz.

We started visiting the site at the stage of groundworks and carried out an aerial 360 tour, later in the year we carried out a further aerial drone inspection from around the exterior of the building and across the roof in several directions.

The project is a JV between Peel L&P, the Council and the Legacy Foundation. A £90m development of one and two-bedroom apartments and affordable homes.

Wirral Waters is a neighbourhood led project. Each neighbourhood will have its own function, identity and feel. Wirral Waters will be phased with early projects clustering in the Four Bridges, Northbank and MEA Park neighbourhood areas.

The Masterplan.

The Wirral Waters Masterplan design was created by world-class urban designers to create a mixed-use, high-density, highly sustainable project that will elevate and regenerate the area to the benefit of its existing community.

Wirral waters why and how, DroneBiz looks deeper into the background of the project.

The wirral needs significant regeneration especially the old docks and waters edge. Wirral Waters has been driven by Wirral Council  and their vision for regeneration encompasses a holistic approach to revitalizing communities, creating economic opportunities, and enhancing quality of life for residents across the Wirral Peninsula. While I don’t have access to specific documents or plans, I can outline some common themes and objectives that are typically part of local council regeneration strategies:

Economic Development: Wirral Council aims to stimulate economic growth by attracting investment, supporting local businesses, and creating employment opportunities. This may involve initiatives such as providing incentives for business development, fostering entrepreneurship, and partnering with private sector organizations to drive innovation and industry diversification.

Community Revitalization: The council seeks to regenerate and rejuvenate neighborhoods and town centers to create vibrant, inclusive communities where people want to live, work, and socialize. This may involve improving public spaces, enhancing amenities and services, and promoting community engagement and social cohesion.

Housing and Infrastructure: Wirral Council works to address housing needs and improve infrastructure to support sustainable development. This includes investing in affordable housing, upgrading transportation networks, enhancing public transit options, and ensuring access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and recreational facilities.

Environmental Sustainability: The council is committed to promoting environmental sustainability and resilience through initiatives such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, green spaces, and sustainable transportation options. This may involve adopting environmentally friendly practices, promoting biodiversity, and mitigating the impacts of climate change.

Cultural and Heritage Preservation: Wirral Council recognizes the importance of preserving and celebrating the area’s cultural heritage and heritage assets. This may involve initiatives such as preserving historic buildings, promoting cultural events and festivals, and supporting arts and cultural organizations that contribute to the local identity and sense of place.

Partnerships and Collaboration: Collaboration with stakeholders, including local communities, businesses, voluntary organizations, and other government agencies, is essential to the success of regeneration efforts. Wirral Council works closely with partners to develop and implement regeneration plans that are responsive to local needs and priorities.

Overall, Wirral Council’s vision for regeneration is likely to be multifaceted, aiming to create sustainable, inclusive, and prosperous communities across the Wirral Peninsula. For the most accurate and up-to-date information on Wirral Council’s regeneration plans and initiatives, it’s recommended to visit their official website or contact the council directly.

At DroneBiz we will be tracking all of the projects with high quality 4K Photography and Video content for clients.
